Default MINIPets - the latest

I collect alot of things that I do not use too much - bows and minipets are prime examples, and do not resell any of them. It is merely another aspect of the game I enjoy but invest considerable resources (gold&time) in this endeavor and find it a good diversion after many battles.

1) I have noticed that a couple of the newest have been thrown up on the market (guru auctions and ebay) and before I get into considering acquiring any of them I'd really like to know if there are going to more put out in circulation (I beleive some were awarded), particularly of the limited edition ones. Since the game is constantly being over managed I am sure it would come as no surprise to anyone, that after spending millions on a minipet, you found out that ncsoft decided to make more available. It is not unreasonable to expect a definitive confirmation from the developers to this effect so that after spending considerable sums you do not find out that your special pet is now basically worthless or everyone and their dog has one.

2) Since it do not carry the minipets with me very often, but on occassion would like to add to the throng of a team in battle, [really like the wild cries of the Kuunavang in the caves during battle], it would be nice to be able to have several of them out at the same time.

3) Some of the minipets are almost substandard in their diminutive form and lack of vocality. When I got the bone dragon I was dissappointed in how miniscule and anemic it was, as well as its general lack of boisterousness. It should be just a bit bigger and have some sort of interesting screech or roar. (oh yeah the latest pics I have seen of the panda and island guardian are placing them way in the foreground so the perspective makes them look way bigger than they actually are.)

4) I am sure it would not take any great effort to allow variable colors like a crimson kuunavang or gold jade, etc. We do not have to make Barbies or GI Joes out of them, but hey that might also garner a greater following LOL.

It almost seems as though, with the latest minis released for sale, the waters were being tested for the durability of the minipet market by ncsoft. Some were put up by the same individual, and the costs seem totally unrealistic. Nothing wrong with wanting maximum profit for an awarded mini but the limited supply is questionable and should be positively established.

5) Dragons! ! ! There are many, many varieties of dragons, wyrms, wurms and serpants and I am sure it would not hurt to have a variety of these with unique attribs (size, color, sound). Everyone loves dragons!

6) Special attributes: For consideration - a unique attrib for minis and could be associated with different minis or mini classes. This, without seriously effecting game play but as an aid to their owner or team. Perhaps even a miniskill such as "distract" or "aggro" and I for one would not mind seeing another randomness introduced in a battle that, if all is seemingly lost some pets may retrieve items from locked chests (with the appropriate key in your inventory) or drop a slow rez sig on a single target once in the course of a mish/quest, or even boolster energy, [many different ways to go on this]. Of course there would have to be appropriate limitations and/or penalties associated with any "equipped mini".

Wishing you all the season's best.

Minipets are toys. Just Toys, made by that Mahk guy.

I would agree with tham collecting stuff on the ground, and when you enter towns, the stuff appearing in the 'unclaimed items' window that appear after cooperative missions so you can pick it.

Ither than that, I won't add any kind of feature to them.

Default well considered

Guild wars is a game. Just a game, made by ncsoft.

May I point out, without dispelling the bubble of security that many enrapture themselves with in hopes of buoying their self-esteem, that "games" are entertaining activities from which great pleasure and learning may be derived. However in the 'big picture reality' we must remember that while we may be near demi-deities in capabilities and stature within a virtual world, we are not nearly as 'powerful' or charismatic in real life. So if it is a 'game' or 'toys' within a game I do not see the need to so definitively delineate the boundaries or disillusion others that their interests are any less important.

If we take an example of the varities of armour that abound, some people really like the look, and others like the distinction of the type and class. Personally until they get some real kick keester fashion for a monk I'll stay as a nature boy, but that is just me, and I won't nay say others suggestions [in hopes that they do get something more than papery looking robs for a monk]. But for now, I have less interest in the fashion.

This being said minipets are not of genuine interest to yourself but represent an aspect of the game many others may find 'fun' and entertaining. I like PvP, treasure hunting, chatting, titles, and much more, appreciating the diversity of all these activities on a much broader scale than just 'warring' and fighting, although I love that too.

Mahk was introduced in NightFall and provides a quest to obtain a minipet but is so far not the originator. They started appearing as "birthday presents' after any of the characters from your account(s), we have 3 (2 of my children play), was a year old.

I think the Christmas and Halloween '"toys" are a great additions as is the dressing up of the theme in various towns. Those concerned only with advancing and battling may not allow themselves to enjoy such things as much.

Mini pets are not mandatory but then ,much in the game isn't depending an what anyone intends to do. Some just like farming and selling and imagine that wealth collection is the be all end all. This is why limitations/penalties/etc as well as scope of the effect in game play of minipets for this suggestion should be of careful consideration. I would hate to devastate some opponents only to lose in the end because their minipet dropped a firestorm on me or something along those lines.

All said and done,... thanks for your response and good fortunes in battle to you.
